Description

Ruby from the Baringo area of Kenya is beautiful and displays a pinkish modifier. The deposit is alluvial meaning that the Rubies initially formed hundreds of miles away in the mists of time, and were transported by ancient rivers and deposited in their present resting place. They are dug up by the local tribe as little smooth water worn pebbles.

This rare 0.82-carat Baringo ruby exhibits the beautiful, strong pink modifier classically found in the Baringo deposit. It features a remarkably clean crystal with high clarity, allowing maximum light return and a vibrant inner glow. In a market dominated by treated gems, this specimen is 100% natural and unheated. Sourced from the celebrated Lake Baringo region, its striking pinkish-red hue and exceptional transparency make it a standout choice for high-end bespoke jewelry or a prized addition to any gemstone collection.
